		What we do advise in Bercy ! On this page, we will present you the places we like and we use to go, of course it depends of each one taste and the choice made does not have anything exhaustive. Those places that we selected are for us the spirit of Bercy, they are not the most well known, but they are certainly the most friendly and reflect for us what is the spirit of Bercy. Restaurants side: For starter, one of our best place is : " Bihan café" It is a small oldy wine bar. It will enable you to taste a wine you will not forget, or eat the “plat du jour” which should satisfies every one, at small prices. Atmosphere guaranteed especially when the owner has drank a little too much... It is for us our HQ. Of course, it is not the place for a small loving dinner with candles (we have other places for that...) but friendship and Parisian spirit are really there! PS: We would advise you the "planches": good cheese, good plate of assorted delicatessen... For the wines let guide yourself by the owner, he knows very well his cellar and use to seek himself wine to small producers... (the “carte des vins” remains impressive for reasonable price) Our second canteen is: "l’auberge Aveyronnaise" A restaurant which smell good the “Aligot” and mets of the “Millau” area! Team is smiling and very sympathetic. You must try sausage and aligot !. Be carefull it is almost impossible to eat there during weekend without having booked ! Finally a little more intimist: the "café Barge" If you are seeking a place a little more intimist without too much expensive price, we advise you the “café Barge”. Ideally located on the Seine, just beside of the financial Ministry, this romantic barge installed on an old oil barge, accommodates its customers in a decoration very Club-Med. But decoration is really sympathetic with its filtered light and its music smoothly world... One likes the winter to coil oneself in a large armchair and to look at the river running with unconcern, and the summer to benefit from the climate under broad parasols. Atmosphere Side: We always cross the Seine when we want to relax. The Mauriac quay is for us a magic place where there is always an "happening" which corresponds to our moment mood Let us start with: the "Guinguette Pirate" 20 years ago, two French carry out a child dream : build a Chinese boat only with wood. It will be the very last boat of this type manufactured at sea of China. Then, Guinguette Pirate will make two world turns before coming to Paris. Today, this splendid boat opened its doors for live spectacles: with a musical programmation open to young groups in becoming. Moreover, there is a small relax room arranged at the bottom of the boat, as well as a restaurant proposing a good inventive menu. But how to speak about Guinguette Pirates without speaking about the "Batofar"... Batofar is just beside of Guinguette. In five years, this strange boat managed to be established like the Parisian reference, regards to electronic musics. Association "Made in Boat" is the instigator of the project and remained until 2002 with the artistic direction of Batofar. Finally if you are looking for a very cosy place, you should make a stop on the “péniche” just beside : "Bateau EL ALAMEIN" Here no concert or happening, just a quite place... Speaking of atmosphere and night life ? impossible to miss "Cours Saint Emilion" : This place is really sympathetic, at the same time warmed and animated. But for us it is now without any surprise. However, that is worth the go you will not be disappointed. Concerning the restaurants, we would advise “Nicolas”, because the food is more than correct and it is the only place where you will be able to choose just a glass of wine without having any nasty wine... Finally if you are not on the budget night, go to “chai 33”, it is rather expensive, but the place is worth the trying. The rest of restaurants are for us true tourist factories without really soul... And so, and so... the day coming. If you like, after a long night, watching parisian going working, then coffee of Bercy is made for you. It is a typical french coffe, clean and waiters are sympathetic, which is not the case for some Parisian coffees... Romantic Side: Paris without a point of romance would not be any more Paris. This subject will be much more develope in "Paris mon Amour", but we have the chance to have two places really cool just at few steps from the apartment. For having tested them you can go there the eyes shoted, it is not a tourist trap! The only thing is, for special date as Valentine days, you must booked in advance... So Mister, don't mess !. Moreover those two places are affordable, they are not budget one as you can imagine but they are reasonable for those type of restaurant... A love dinner on the Seine with : "Bercy's Marina". The Marina of Bercy proposes dinners of quality on the Seine. Cruising leaves the Port of Bercy then skirts the Island Saint Louis, the Island of the City where you will be able to admire celebrates it cathedral of Our-injury. Cruising passes under the Bridge Alexandre III. Before starting its turn of return to the height of the House of the Radio, the boat will offer a unspoilable view and impressive to you Eiffel Tower. Cruising ends in the Marina of Bercy, her starting point. Finally if you are nostalgic of the Paris of light do not hesitate and board to the "Train bleu"... The framework is sublime, and the service is on the same level. High ceilings, gildings and mouldings, glosses and its 41 painted frescos representing the great stages traversed by Co PLM (the Paris-Lyon-Mediterranean). The two living rooms were classified besides historic buildings by André Malraux, in 1972. This place is magic (if you like French movies you will have recognized this place, which was used for turning the Luc Besson movie : "Nikita".), temple of the gastronomy, but especially a pleasant place for a love dinner, sympathetic with very affordable menu.
